The Pegasus Awards are a series of awards for filk music recording, performing and composition. They are awarded annually by ballot of the filk music community at large and presented each October at the Ohio Valley Filk Fest (OVFF) convention in Columbus, Ohio. The Pegasus Awards originated in 1984 and have been presented nearly every year since. They are named for the legendary winged horse of ancient Greek mythology.

The awards are historically given in five categories, three permanent and two more that change each year. The original three permanent categories are Best Filk Song, Best Writer/Composer and Best Performer; the other two are chosen by the committee of OVFF each year and are often connected in some thematic fashion. Another permanent category, "Best Classic Filk Song," was added in recent years for older songs deserving of recognition which have not previously won the award.
